Macadamia Nut Apple Pie

Apple pie, Hawaiian style. Pre made pie crust holds delicious apple pie filling mixture featuring shredded apple, vanilla, cinnamon, butterscotch morsels and macadamia nuts.
Ingredients -
4 Large Eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup Light Corn Syrup
2 cups peeled and coarsely shredded Tart Apple
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) Butter, melted
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
1 cup coarsely chopped Macadamia Nuts
1 2/3 cups (11 ounces package) Butterscotch Flavored Morsels
1 Unbaked 9-inch Pie Shell
 
Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 375 F.

2. In large bowl, combine eggs, corn syrup, shredded apple, butter, vanilla extract, salt and cinnamon. Stir to combine.

3. Stir in macadamia nuts and butterscotch flavored morsels.

4. Place pie shell into pie plate.

5. Pour apple macadamia mixture into pie shell.

6. Bake 45-50 minutes. Edge should be set, center will still move slightly.

7. Remove from oven. Cool on wire rack two hours.

8. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate.
