Easy Apple Pie

Incredibly simple apple pie filling combines apples, sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon. Spooned into ready to use pie crust and baked golden brown and bubbly.
Ingredients -
1 Ready-to-Use Double Pie Crust, refrigerated
1 Egg White, slightly beaten
3/4 cup Sugar
2 tablespoons Cornstarch
1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
4 cups Apples, peeled and thinly sliced
1 teaspoon Sugar
Parchment Paper
 
Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 425 F.

2. Prepare pie crust according to package directions.

3. Place crust on parchment lined baking sheet.

4. With pastry brush, apply ½ beaten egg white to pie crust surface.

5. In medium bowl, combine sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon.

6. Toss apples in sugar mixture.

7. Spoon apple pie filling into pie crust.

8. Place top crust over apples. Pleat and seal edges.

9. Brush top crust with remaining egg white. Dust top with teaspoon sugar.

10. Bake 30-45 minutes or until apples are tender.

11. Cool before serving.
