Apple Raisin Cobbler Pie

Quick apple pie combines ready made apple pie filling with raisins, nutmeg. Filling goes in a shortbread piecrust. A crumbled brown sugar, flour, butter and walnuts mixture gets sprinkled over the top of the filling. Pie is baked until bubbly and topping caramelizes.
Ingredients -
2 (20 ounces each) cans Apple Pie Filling
1 cup Raisins
1/4 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
1/3 cup All-Purpose Flour
1/4 cup packed Brown Sugar
3 tablespoons melted Butter or Margarine
3/4 cup chopped Walnuts
1 (6 ounces) Ready Crust Shortbread Pie Crust
 
Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 375 F.

2. In a medium mixing bowl combine apple filling with raisins and nutmeg.

3. Spoon apple pie filling into shortbread piecrust.

4. Add flour and sugar to small mixing bowl. Add butter and cut in with fork until crumbly.

5. Stir in walnuts. Sprinkle topping over apple pie filling.

6. Bake 40-45 minutes or until topping is golden brown.
