Apple Pie Pizza

Wonderful breakfast idea. Apple pizza recipe makes 2 pizzas. Apples, butter, flour, sugar and cinnamon combine to make a delicious apple topping. Pizzas are baked and drizzled with powdered sugar glaze.
Ingredients -
1 Loaf Frozen Bread Dough
2/3 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Butter
4-6 Apples, very thinly sliced or diced
1/2 cup Flour
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon

Glaze:
1 cup Powdered Sugar
2 tablespoons Butter
1-2 tablespoon Water

Preparation:
 

1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

2. Divide frozen bread dough into 2 balls.

3. Roll into two 12-inch circles.

4. Spray pizza pans with cooking spray.

5. Place dough on pizza pans. Pinch edges of dough to create a ridge.

6. Arrange apple slices on dough.

7. In small bowl mix sugar, butter, flour and cinnamon. Cut with fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

8. Sprinkle mixture over apples.

9. Let dough rise until it doubles.

10. Bake 35-40 minutes.

11. Make glaze, by combining powdered sugar, butter, and water in small bowl.

12. Pour glaze over pizza.

Cold Dough
Work the frozen dough balls at the earliest moment. Cold dough makes for easier rolling.

When making pie crusts, always use pastry flour or all-purpose flour as both have lower gluten levels and give the crust suitable body for baking.
